WHO: Various Artists: Highlight: Sidney Wayser
WHAT: South By Southwest private house party
WHEN: March 14, 2012
WHERE: 1200 Shelley Avenue, aka the S101 Launch Pad!
WHY: Our own private house party at SXSW.
HOW: So much music, so little time! For my day 2 at SXSW, I spent the afternoon at our very own private, invitation only party for our best friends, clients and business partners: great Austin BBQ, drinks, and live music in the back yard highlighted a great mellow afternoon of fun.
We had a whole host of artists perform throughout the afternoon, including Jimmy Lloyd, Jenn Bostic and Haroula Rose, all clients of my company Section 101:

The "discovery" of the afternoon was Sydney Wayser, a French-American singer from New York, who reminded me of Edie Brickell a bit, in terms of her vocal delivery, especially on one of her songs, Dream It Up (Spotify link). She even plays a mean harmonium. The band and her music were a perfect fit for a relaxed afternoon of music, especially after a long night of loud rock. Looks like Syndey's playing her release show at Joe's Pub in NYC on May 24, if anyone wants to check her out!
Other artists I got to check out included Connie Lim, Bleu, and Jr Astronomers.
